Canepa, 2014 with positive results

A year of growth for the Canepa group

A year of significant results for Canepa which ends 2014 with extremely positive figures, showing that the company strategies and investments into environmental protection are moving in the right direction. Over EUR 104 million in revenue – higher than in 2013 – and an ebitda at 12.7% (almost two percentage points higher than last year) are the results of the Como-based company, market leader in high-end silk textiles, as well as the production of high-quality textiles made from natural fibres, such as cashmere, wool, cotton, flax and hemp. Among the company’s most successful products are ties, scarves and swimsuits, known for their high-quality materials showcasing craftsmanship from around the world, and not just from their native Italy. A significant contribution to the company’s success has been the textiles made using the patented SAVEtheWATER-Kitotex processes which reduce the consumption of water and energy by over 90%, and eliminate the majority of pollutants used. Such success has led to high hopes for this year. “The results from the first five months of 2015 confirm the trend – says Elisabetta Canepa, President of Canepa SpA – and the company’s priority objectives are internationalisation and environmental sustainability”.
